Displaying price and volume information can be done in a variety of ways. There are 9 main styles of displaying price plots that have use in market analysis. The Bar chart is one of the most common methods.

Charter Financial Analyst (CFA) - A person who has earned the prestigious professional designation via a minimum of three years of testing and work experience. A CFA primarily analyzes securities.

Charts: A display or picture of a security that plots price and/or volume.
Chi Square: A statistical test to determine the probability that an observed deviation from the expected event or outcome occurs solely by chance.


Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
An investment professional that has met competency standards in economics, securities, portfolio management, and financial accounting as determined by the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts.


Charts A display or picture of a security that plots price and/or volume (the number of shares sold). The chart is the foundation of technical analysis, and over the years, many different types of charts have been developed.


Chartist
Technical analyst who charts the patterns of stocks, bonds and commodities to make buy and sell recommendations to clients. Chartists believe recurring patterns of trading can help them forecast future price movements.


Charting technique developed by Richard Arms (see Arm's Index) which measures the relationship between price and volume. Price is measured on the vertical axis and volume is measured on the horizontal axis.
